Portaviq app cookies

The Portaviq web app uses essential cookies needed to provide the service.

  • Session cookies keep signed-in users authenticated.
  • Pending email cookies help complete OTP sign-in after a code is requested.
  • These cookies are used for security and app functionality, not advertising.
  • Portaviq does not currently use third-party advertising cookies in the app.

WordPress plugin tracking

The lightweight WordPress tracker does not set tracking cookies.

  • When enabled, the plugin sends page URL/path, page title, referrer, timestamp, and a signed request.
  • Basic technical request metadata, such as user agent, may be stored with pageview events.
  • Portaviq strips query strings and URL fragments from stored pageview URLs and referrers.
  • The tracker does not run inside wp-admin.

Customer responsibility

Site owners and agencies should confirm their own privacy notice covers lightweight pageview collection before enabling tracking.

If you manage a client site, confirm that you have authorization from the client or site owner and that the site privacy notice explains the collection of basic pageview activity. Portaviq provides the tool, but customers decide whether tracking is appropriate for each connected WordPress site.
